Danish furniture designer, Hans J. Wegner was a pioneer of Organic Furniture. He created natural shapes with practical applications which undoubtedly turned heads to the people of the 19th century.
His high quality and thoughtful work, along with a concerted effort from several of his manufacturers, contributed to the international popularity of Danish design.
Designed in 1949, The Chair is a classic example of traditional craftsmanship. The clean wood design with leather seat resting on four tapered legs. The empty space that separates the back from the seat, gives the piece elegance and makes it one of a kind.
